Jade Marble held up in the studio

I started painting as a child, and I loved it.

I'm James. Art started as a fun hobby for me, a way to be creative. By trade I'm a graphic and UX/UI designer, and I don't stick to one medium. I draw anatomy, product designs, buildings and cars. I sketch on paper in charcoal and pen, and I paint.

Now I want to do it full time. It's my calling.

Most of the paintings here are marbles: acrylic poured across the canvas until it settles into veins or geodes. I also make reliefs, shaping wall-coat paste by hand into fans or free abstract forms, and beach pieces, with real sand on the canvas. I'm obsessed with marble. To me it's the finishing touch of a beautiful room, a stone that has always meant luxury, and I wanted to bring that onto canvas.

I paint on cotton canvas or wooden panels. Every painting starts the same way, with layers of paste to hide the weave, sanded smooth. And it ends the same way: the back painted, my signature by hand, and a coat of varnish or resin. I can use the same colours and the same technique twice, but the painting never comes out the same, so nothing here can be copied. No prints, no AI.

I work in the south of Spain. I make every piece myself, by hand, and I pack it myself before it ships. If you're looking for something for a particular wall, I also take commissions.
